LOWA Vienna Aspern airport

File Description:
Aspern served as Viennas airport from 1912-1954, when Schechat airport took over. Aspern airport finally closed in 2009. At the former airport area now one of Europes largest residential district development projects, Seestadt Aspern, is under construction.
