File Description: Delivered on the 9th December 1946 the Central African Airways Dove was the first aircraft of its type to be used on airline service anywhere in the world. c/n 04006 was purchased by CAA in 1947 and named "Lourie". It was used on the Salisbury-Bulawayo and Salisbury-Blantyre-Lilongwe-Fort Jameson routes and later put on the bush routes of Nyasaland (Malawi) and Barotseland (western Zambia). Textures only.
