File Description: This is a repaint of the excellent Chance-Vought F-8 Crusader by Alphasim to represent a fictional Royal Canadian Navy 'CF-8'. The Crusader would have been a natural choice for the Royal Canadian Navy to replace its ageing fleet of McDonnell F3H Banshees in the late 1950's or early 1960's. Smaller and more manoeuvrable than the Phantom II it would have been better suited to the single RCN light fleet carrier HMCS Bonaventure.
This download will give 4 versions of the Crusader in RCN colours; an early CF-8E with pre-unification fin flag, a later version with bombs, a CF-8J with AIM-9's and a CF-8J with AGM-12 Bullpup anti-ship missiles.
