Cane (Dick p.18). 22/08/42 Damaged lower cowling, tail and rudder. 26/08/42 12 RSU for repair. 08/07/43 30 Sqn. 22/07/43 Damaged port wing tip when it struck a Japanese flag pole whilst strafing buildings at Gasmata (Series of photos including AWM OG0023). Dick p.124 claims medium Japanese anti-aircraft fire had blown off the 45cm of wing tip. Aircraft ground looped on landing at Turnbull airstrip NG but no further damage was done. Crew: Pilot FLGOFF Graeme Hunt & Nav PLTOFF Arthur Hodges. 19/07/43 15 ARD for repair. 08/08/43 30 Sqn. Coded V. Around this time a large reclining girl was painted on the port fuselage, forward of the cupola.
