File Description: Aircraft is actually MJ271.Entered service 15-02-1944 with 118Sqn,08-03-1944 moved to 132Sqn.November 1944 saw another move to 401Sqn.Transferred to the RNLAF 25-11-1949,given the code H-8.Later painted in the silver paintscheme and renumbered 3W-8 with 322 Sqn.Since the opening of the Aviodrome at Lelystad repainted in the colours of the RNLAF in the Far East paintscheme as MH424.H-53 is now being restored to flying condition at Duxford.This information was made available by Pieter Jutte at his site www.strijdbewijs.nl,for further information on all Dutch Spitfires is his site worth a visit.
