File Description: Designed to be a 'commuter' plane for businessmen in the Long Island area, the Grumman Goose was first manufactured in 1937. She was designed to cater for up to 7 passengers. The US Navy showed an interest in the amphibious aircraft in 1938, eventually acquiring 222 airframes. The Goose also served with the US Coast guard and the US Army, and later served in a military role with the British, Canadian, French, and Portuguese armed forces. 376 of them were built by 1945. Subsequent modifications (since 1966) have seen some of the aircraft modified to use turbine powerplants.
This particular Goose is in a fictional paint scheme. TEXTURES ONLY! This model requires Mike Stone's G-21 Goose, which is available on AVSIM or on Mike's homepage (http://www.pmstone.com). Repaint by Graeme Porter.
