File Description: This station is home to No.32 (The Royal) Squadron, flying BAe 125's, BAe 146's Islanders and Squirrel helicopters. It is the main gateway for officials and high-ranking officers of foreign governments and also for emergency and diplomatically sensitive flights. There is also a static Spitfire gate guardian, many thanks to John Young for allowing us to use his model. Scenery is made up from several object libraries, details can be found in the readme.

RAF_MH_vs2

File Description:
RAF Martelsham Heath by Ian Elliot. This revised version includes AI traffic that makes this base come to life. Originally an airfield during the First World War, later was active in testing some of the important RAF designs in the build-up to WW11 including the Spitfire and Hurricane. During the battle of Britian, Martelsham became part of 11 group fighter command flying Spitfires, Hurricane's and Blenheims and was them passed over to the 356th Fighter group USAAF in October 1943.

RealAir Spitfire XIV in 402 Squadron (RCAF) Colours.

File Description:
RealAir's incredible Spitfire XIV in the colours of RN119, of 402 Squadron (Royal Canadian Air Force), 1945. Accurate camouflage pattern for this aircraft, plus colours for both camouflage and markings are reworked. Includes textures to put the pilot in RAF uniform, plus seatbelts. This aircraft shot down an Arado 234B jet, on April 19, 1945. Photo of actual aircraft included.

Rolls-Royce Merlin Sound Package

File Description:
A few weeks ago at an airshow, I had the opportunity to get up close up to the Spitfire and get some recordings of that beautiful Rolls Royce Merlin engine. I have used some of these sounds for this sound pack and the result is absolutely amazing. Now I've got a spitfire which truly sounds like it should. This is a small file but don't be fooled, you'll love it, guaranteed! Obviously I don't know how a Spitfire sounds on the inside, so I've tried using FS9 default sounds along with some sounds downloaded from the internet and from a sound effects disk and wow, what a result. This file was created using the Alpha Spitfire as a test bed, so I'm not sure what it will be like in any other model. If you want to know what it sounds like, try putting these sounds into the Cessna 182S model as they run perfectly in that plane except it doesn't have retractable landing gear! I promise, you won't be disappointed!!

Royal Hellenic Air Force Supermarine Spitfire Collection

File Description:
This package includes all the Hellenic Spitfires expect the Spitfire pr Mk.XI witch appeared in one unit and pr Mk.XIII in three units. You can fly the spitfire mk.Vb/c, Spitfire mk.IXe LF/HF and Spitfire Mk.XVIe LF. Greece in 9/23/1938 ordered 12 Spitfires and 12 Anson. During the June of 1939 it was signed the order of 24 Spitfires which cost 9335 pounds each. When Hitler attacked to Poland, England used all the aircrafts that were under construction and of course the Greek were some of them. On 10/12/1943, the 336th Olympus Squadron received the first Spitfire and followed the 335th Tiger Squadron. The Spitfire mk.Vb/c replaced the Hurricane mk.IIb/c. When the two greek Squadrons were at North Africa, their Spitfires wore the , but when they moved to Italy, their Spitfires change to . The formal receival of them from Greece took place at Araxos AB LGRX on 11-14-1944. The war hadn’t finished yet and Hellas wasn’t free, so the Spitfires were used in battles for Milos’ and Crete‘s freedom. In the end of 1945, RHAF, now HAF, stoped being depended on RAF and the mk.Vb/c were given to Greece on 4/25/1946. In January of 1947 were delivered the Spitfires mk.IXe LF and HF (Low Flying and High Flying). The mk.Vb/c now were used in the new pilots’ training and a new Squadron was created because of the large number of the mk.IX. The name of the new Squadron was 337th Phantom Squadron . On the February of 1949, were delivered the new Spitfires mk.XVIe LF. At the end of their careers, the mk.IX and mk.XVI were used as advanced training aircrafts. Royal Hellenic Air Force, Supermarine Spitfire Mk Vb

File Description:
The Spitfire MK V was one of the best known marks, powered by the Merlin 46 of 1440 hp. It served from the Summer of 1941 on, and was the first Spitfire to serve overseas.The trop was modified to operate in dusty and adverse environments such as North Africa. The Royal Hellenic Air Force received 56 Spitfires Mk Vb/MkVc from R.A.F., during January of 1944. These planes were assigned to 335th and 336th Fighter Squadron R.H.A.F.used these Mk Vbs until 1953. 2 Textures sets (1944 camo and 1948 natural metal, textures only) for payware 'Sky Unlimited Spitfire Mk V'. Repaint by Manuele Villa.
