Bell P39D Airacobra ZipDive!  Download

File Description:
This early WW2 fighter is unique in having the engine behind the pilot with a driveshaft running forward under the floor. This configuration allowed a cannon to be mounted concentric with the propeller. Originally released for FS2002, the VC has now been reworked with more detail added and selectable switches. Flight dynamics have been improved. A 2D panel is not included.

Douglas C-133 Cargomaster ZipDive!  Download

File Description:
The C-133 Served as the USAF's only turbo-prop strategic airlifter from 1956 to 1971, when wing fatigue caused their retirement. The C-141 and C-5 then took over the "Weanie Wagon's" role. The main mission of the C-133 was to transport the USAF's range of ICBM's to their bases, and to move many oversized cargoes long distances. One being a ship's propeller and shaft to New Zealand. First version was the C-133A, serving at Dover AFB. The last dozen or so were the C-133B version, with new clamshell doors and more powerful engines. These served at Travis AFB.

Douglas TA-4J Skyhawk ZipDive!  Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
TA-4J Skyhawks were assigned to Instrument Training RAGs at all the Navy "master jet bases" under RCVW-12 and RCVW-4. The Instrument RAGs initially provided jet transition training for Naval Aviators during the time period when Naval Aviation still had a great number of propeller-driven aircraft and also provided annual instrument training and check rides for Naval Aviators. The assigned TA-4J models were installed with collapsible hoods so the aviator under training had to demonstrate instrument flying skills without any outside reference.

Pober Pixie Light Aircraft ZipDive!  Download

File Description:
The Pober Pixie was a light aircraft designed in the United States in the early 1970s and marketed for homebuilding. It was a conventional parasol-wing monoplane with fixed tailwheel undercarriage and a single-seat, open cockpit. In response to the 1973 oil crisis, the EAA launched "Project Econoplane" to develop an aircraft with high fuel economy that would therefore be affordable for its members to operate. The Pober Pixie was the result, with fuel consumption of 3 to 3.5 US Gal (11 to 13 L) per hour. Plans were completed in January 1974 and the prototype flew in late July, in time for the EAA Annual Convention that year. After the convention, the prototype was returned to the shop for minor improvement work, including installation of a Limbach SL 1700 EA engine (60 hp @ 3550 rpm) and Rehm 5330 two-blade fixed-pitch propeller. The improvements were incorporated into the plans.
