File Description: Model by Mike Stone. FDE corrected to Learjet 35A specifications. This download is a fully-functional package (no additional files required), including the famous "MetJet" executive livery and a comprehensive readme (which includes a fantastic Panel recommendation).
This Learjet 35A registered as N100MJ (or "MetJet" as it was affectionately called) was purchased to satisfy MetroAir management's requirement for a cost-effective GAA (go-anywhere-anytime) transport, thus allowing the management of MetroAir Virtual Airlines the logistical ability to remain flexible during times of expansion and/or increased competition.
On Friday August 31st 2007 at 1235 hours PDT, MetroAir Virtual Airlines officially retired N100MJ. When MetroAir was founded as a small commuter airline out of Detroit, N100MJ was instrumental in allowing the management opportunities to quietly and privately explore new routes and broker the necessary deals required to bring the airline to where it is today. Painted in a special livery by MetroAir's own CEO Tom Collins, the management of MetroAir was sad to see her go.
