Athens - Eleftherios Venizelos International Airport, Greece (LGAV)

File Description:
This file makes FS2004 use the correct taxiways and gates at the airport of Athens Venizelos, Greece (will work with the scenery LGAV2002 by George Dorkofikis ONLY). It keeps the AI Aircraft from taxiing cross country. It was created with AFCAD 2.04. It contains enough parkings for many large, small and medium and prop airliners and some general aviation and cargo parkings. Every parking position should be included. Schengen (intra EU except UK) and non-Schengen traffic will be kept seperated. All parking radiuses set according to George Dorkofikis informations that come with the scenery. Had to make a few compromises, but nothing serious.

This is an AFCAD2 fille for athens eleftherios venizelos international airport. It adds 88 parking gates ramps etc. in order to allow more airlines to use more parking space so the sirport to be crowded with aircraft trying to match reality. Accurate gate numbering.Information used from many friends like which airline parks at which gate ramp etc, has been considered and the gates assigned accordingly.Parking have been checked not to overlap with nearby aircraft. e.g. Not to overlap wings when parked next to each other.I have included an powerpoint presentation more like an airport layout in order to explain the structure of this particular AFCAD file,Night lightning has also been adjusted to the new ramps and gates thanx to the AFCAD 2 program and the new airport will look very nice.

This version replaces my all previously uploaded versions. It corrects the position of the ILS localizers and glideslopes to make hnds off approaches possible. It is mandatory that you replace the old version. It keeps the AI Aircraft from taxiing cross country. It was created with AFCAD 2.04. Athens Airways is a new Greek airline that started scheduled flights to Alexandroupolis on January 31, 2009. The airline is currently expanding its network using Athens LGAV as their main hub. These scheduled flight plans apply for the spring season 2009, including the newest destinations (Mykonos, Santorini, Chania, Heraklion), as taken from the airline's official website.
