File Description: FS2004 Scenery--Ernest Harmon Air Force Base and Stephenville Airport (CYJT), Newfoundland, 1957-62. Originally built to facilitate the transport of US aircraft to Europe during the Second World War, during the Cold War Harmon was the biggest US base outside the USA. Like nearby Gander it was a vital refuelling point for transatlantic crossings, but also an important part of the defences against the threat of Soviet bombers carrying muclear weapons attacking the USA via the North Pole. F-89 Scorpions and then F-102 Delta Daggers were based there, and this download includes F-89s especially made for this scenery by David Wooster. It also has custom landclass adjustments by Al Von Pingel and many custom buildings by Dan French. Flight plans are provided for 1957, 1959 and 1962, doing much to recreate this significant Cold War base as it really was. By Al Von Pingel, Dan French and Ken Lawson.

File Description: Googly scenery for Am-Timan (ICAO: FTTN, ICAO: ANC), also known as Am
Timan, Am Timane, Am Timmane, Umm Timman - take your pick! It is a small
airport serving a small city of the same name in South-Eastern Chad,
almost exactly centred in the continent of Africa.
The airport was upgraded in 1971 by the French Foreign Legion to allow
military transport craft to land, but it still retains a sand/dirt
strip. The airport is served today by a couple of flights a week using
Fokker Fellowship jets of Toumai Air Tchad.
The entire area is very dry and sandy but for some reason it is depicted
in Flight Simulator as green and lush. Microsoft have only provided a runway
at this airport and this scenery seeks to redress the situation so that you
and your "AI" traffic can use the airport realistically.
The scenery does not purport to be ultra-accurate. Based on high quality
satellite imagery from Google Earth, the layout is proportionally correct but the
added airport features, such as buildings, are built from default Microsoft objects
and add-on libraries so will not look exactly like the real thing.
You are not obliged to download and install any additional scenery libraries,
but to enjoy this scenery in its entirety, you may wish to. It will work fine,
with or without.

File Description: Highly detailed scenery of Hatay New Airport V2 (LTDA) in The Turkey.
Antakya or Hatay, as its official name is today, was founded in 300 BC as Antioch-ad-Orontes by Seleucos Nicator, one of Alexander's generals. Antakya grew quickly to become a city of half a million people and, under the Romans, became one of the main centers of the Christian faith. The city survived a massive earthquake in the 5th century killing 250,000 people. It was later fought over by Persians, Byzantines, Arabs, Armenians, Seljuks, Crusaders and Mamluks. The latter literally wiped out the city and it never regained its former glory. Antakya was part of the French protectorate of Syria until 1939, became independent as the Republic of Hatay for a short period and then joined the Republic of Turkey on 23 July 1939.

File Description: Hatay city is known to be one of the most interesting and culturally diverse cities in southern Turkey. With its mixture of Arab and Turkish speaking people, as well a Christian minority, the city offers an ethnic charm that is very endearing. The French years have left behind as a legacy beautiful boulevards, and the city seems to have its own architectural style. The ancient Orontes River (Asi River) divides the city in half, while making the region extremely fertile.
