Boulder (KBDU) / Longmont / Loveland, Colorado, Photo-Scenery (FS9 & FSX)

File Description: Boulder is situated where the Rocky Mountains meet the Great Plains. Just west of the city are imposing slabs of sedimentary stone tilted up on the foothills, known as Flatirons. Located at the base of the foothills is Boulder's main campus of the University of Colarado which is clearly visible from the sky. Longmont is home of the Denver ARTCC (Air Route Traffic Control Center) which controls all flights in the upper airspace of most of Colorado and parts of adjoining states. To explore the scenery depart from Boulder (KBDU) and head northeast. Extends my Rocky Mountain Park scenery to the east and my Denver scenery to the north. File Description: Bryce Canyon National Park (KBCE), Utah, Photo-Scenery (FS9 & FSX) Despite its name, Bryce Canyon is not actually a canyon that was formed by a river, but rather a giant natural cliff shaped through erosion by wind, water, and ice. Bryce is distinctive due to its geological formations, delicate and colorful pinnacles called hoodoos that are up to 200ft high. The bizarre forms and red, orange and white colors of the rocks provide spectacular views. Unfortunately the hoodoos are too small for the elevation mesh in flight simulator. But you can enjoy the colors and shape of the cliffs. The cliffs in main region of the park, just south of the airport are partly covered by snow. But on the southern and western part of the plateau you can enjoy them free of snow. Bryce Canyon is named after the Mormon pioneer Ebenezer Bryce who settled in this area in the 1850s. It was designated as a national park in 1928. Bryce Canyon Airport (KBCE) just handles small aircraft on a daily basis. But is was actually built to handle larger aircraft in case of emergency. And so on Oct.6th 2000 an American Airlines MD-82 from Denver to Los Angeles made a successful emergency landing after reporting smoke in the cockpit and a loss of cabin pressure. File Description: This region covers the area between Denver and Colorado Springs. It extends my Denver scenery to the south. Just north of Colorado Springs you can see the widespread United States Air Force Academy which, with it's many buildings, covers a huge area of 18.000 acres. The Academy Airfield (KAFF) which lays in the northeastern corner of the area is used for training cadets in airmanship courses, including parachute training, soaring and powered flight. File Description: Denver (KDEN), Colorado, Photo-Scenery for FS9 & FSX. This package covers Denver, the capital of Colorado which is also nicknamed Mile-High City because its elevation is one mile (5.280 ft). The sixth RW (16R/34L) of Denver Int'l. Airport (KDEN) is the longest commercial RW in the US with a length of 16.000ft. This allows fully loaded B747's to take off in Denvers mile-high altitude during hot summer days, when density altitudes can approach 9.000(!) ft. KDEN is a major hub for United Airlines and the headquarters for Frontier Airlines. The airports distinctive white tent-like fabric roof is designed to be reminiscent of the snow-covered peaks of the Rocky Mountains which you can see on approach or departure. Other important airports covered by this region are Centennial Airport (KAPA), Buckley AFB (KBKF) and Rocky Mountain Metropolitan Airport (KBJC). Denver International Airport

File Description:
This file includes the newly opened runway 16R/34L, several redesigned textures, accurately numbered gates, maintenance hangars for United, Mountain Air and Frontier, and hold short lights at night. The scenery has 122 gates, 71 main gates with jetways and 51 commuter and cargo gates. AFCAD file is included with download and integral to the scenery. For FS2004 only, will not work with earlier versions.

Denver International Airport - KDEN V1

File Description:
Version 1 of Denver International Airport (KDEN) scenery. All new GMAX scenery. This version features more detailed buildings and jetways along with some animations. All animations are NAV2 frequency controlled. The new 16000' ft runway on the west end of the airport is also included with a very accurate AFCAD2 rendition of gate assignments to portray the airport in as realistic light as possible. All scenery has been optimized for best performance wherever possible. Quantity of jet ways is determined by scenery complexity settings. Previous FS2002 version had over 5000 downloads.

Denver International Airport Version 1.1 Update

File Description:
This is an update of Denver International Airport for FS2004 (dia2004.zip). Changes from version 1.0 include: 16R/34L ILS is now fixed and works on the proper frequency at both ends, airline logos have been added to the gates, most gates now have a visible docking guidance system, and ground vehicles have been added including pushback trucks at all gates. AFCAD file is included and necessary to the scenery. This is a complete install, if updating from version 1.0 please read the install instructions.

Lake Norman is in close proximity to the big city activities of Charlotte, North Carolina and 15 minutes north by car. The dam has dynamic spray effects and adjoining industry. This project lends itself to Runway12 and Lago additions. A map of the state camp ground is included for your adding to this. Scene is based on the terra server.
