File Description: FS2004/FSX Green Panel Conversion. This package converts the gray Cal Classic DC-7/7B/7C panel by Ken Mitchell and Tom Gibson into a dark green version. This panel REQUIRES the original DC-7 panel, available by downloading and installing the United DC-7 at: http://www.calclassic.com/dc7.htm When the Historical Flight Foundation asked Cal Classic (www.calclassic.com) to create an FS version of their newly restored Eastern Douglas DC-7B N836D, Eric repainted his existing EAL DC-7B into an exact replica of their plane (available here as eal_dc7b_n836d_final.zip). But one thing that wasn't done originally was to replicate the dark green cockpit of the plane. This package has been created to do that. Quite a few other DC-7's, DC-7B's, and DC-7C's had dark green panels as well.

File Description: The default FS2004 DC-3 is configured for three fuel tanks, whereas by design the C-47/DC-3 had four from which to draw. Many airlines using the DC-3 commercially blanked off, removed or never installed one tank in order to maximise payload; they were usually operating shorter routes than were typical of the C-47 in military service, This conversion kit gives the option of restoring the aircraft to four-tank configuration, giving greater range for long duration flights. Offering realistic fuel management, this option can replace your default configuration or, alternatively, add four-tank aircraft to your DC-3 collection. Note that this file will only be of use to those pilots who like to set up fuel and payload properly before a flight; pilots using default FS settings of maximum fuel and full payload will find that the aircraft is over maximum takeoff weight in this configuration.

File Description: A modification of the default DC-3 panel configuration file (panel.cfg) to allow IFR navigation in both the 2D and virtual cockpit modes. Specifically, an HSI, RMI, and Beech-type radio stack have been added. The GPS has been upgraded to the Garmin 500 as well. Uses all default gauges. I realize there are several nice DC-3 IFR panel mods out there (Hi Mark!), but this one combines the best qualities of simplicity, function and good looks into one easy-to-use-panel. Enjoy!

File Description: Requires prior installation of the R4D-6/DC-3 package available from Mid-Atlantic Air Museum Simulations (MAAM-SIM) at www.maam.org. Will not work with the default FS2004 DC-3. These unofficial modifications, in two versions, of the panel supplied for the DC-3 in the MAAM-SIM package are uploaded with their permission. In both versions everything is consolidated on, or is accessible from, the Pilot's panel. Most features are accessible from the VC also. Version 1 replaces the Sperry autopilot with a Bendix autopilot and adds an HSI and RMI to the panel; Version 2 retains the Sperry but replaces the directional gyro with a more contemporary gyro with Heading bug. This panel also has an RMI and a conventional VOR1 gauge. Both panels have several other enhancements including standby radios.
