File Description: Brevoort airstrip and the BAF-3 radar it serves is on Brevoort Island, off one of the southeastern tips of Baffin Island and 140 miles east of Iqaluit. This scenery includes the BAF-3 buildings on the hilltop and those on the airstrip below, plus the roads connecting them and down to the beach landing area on the rocky coast. This scenery is made for the FSGenesis 76m terrain mesh for northern Canada, and there will be a repost of all my northern Canada airfields to suit this; I cannot think now why I never installed this mesh before. The AI reflects the use of civil airlines for resupply and transportation of personnel. Given the terrain the wind should be from the north so that ai lands using the 02 runway. Landing from the north will involve a terrain clash while take off towards the north will not as the climb out clears the hilltop. The video shows the 600 foot cliff at the runway threshold and an Air Tindi plane on the apron. Cartwright CYCA is on the Labrador coast and has been posted by Flight Ontario as part of their Goose Bay and Labrador Regional Airports sceneries. The nearby LAB-6 radar site is included here, connected to CYCA by an extended road. The site uses the same buildings as Brevoort and Saglek (posted recently) and although I have included them here as separate sceneries the contents can be placed in the same folders as Saglek with a saving in duplicated textures. The textures here are more accurate than Saglek so say yes to over-write; a downloader with personal experience of Brevoort noted that in reality they are lighter.

File Description: Inspired by Michael Doherty (Difficult & Dangerous Approaches) and David Dossiere (Hopping Round the World) and their flight adventures, I have put together a series of flight plan-adventures where the aircraft used are all available as freeware. A file locator is included with each package so that you can easily find and download the aircraft used. These packages each contain 10 flight adventures and each package begins at the location the previous package ended.
All flightplans are VFR only and are designed so that you can enjoy the outstanding scenery of Alaska, Western Canada, Western and Mountain States of the lower 48, and Mexico.
The adventure, Crossing North America, begins at Pt Hope, Alaska and will conclude in the following months at Cancun, Mexico. The aircraft used are: General Aviation, Vintage, Warbirds, Bush Aircraft, and Propliners. No IFR flightplans or jets!
The flightplans are NOT designed to get you from Alaska to Mexico by the shortest route possible, but are in the spirit of David Dossiere's "Hopping Round the World" adventure flights, in that they take you into as many areas or airports as possible. Looking for some fun, flying low, and enjoying the scenery, then these flight adventures are for you.

File Description: Here's the 4th edition of my "Crossing North America" adventure and we are still working our way around in Alaska. The 10 flightplan-adventures included with package #4 begin at Cordova in Prince William Sound, then we travel up and deep into the Klondike region of east central Alaska. We end our adventures at Hoonah, AK just south of the Glacier Bay National Park. Our journey will have had us crossing the Wrangell mountains (twice) and viewing some of Alaska's most dramatically beautiful areas the state has to offer. The next package (#5) will be the final one for Alaska, as it will tour the Southeast part of the state, including the Capital of Juneau. Ironically, it is the capital of Alaska that is the only state capital you cannot drive to, as the only way you can reach Juneau is either by boat or plane. Package #6 will begin our tour of Canada, starting with the Yukon! Packages 1-4 have now totaled 4,678 miles flown, using 34 different aircraft!
With this package #4, the aircraft used are as follows:
default Caravan & KingAir,
Piaggio P-166 turboprop twin,
Cherokee 180,
Cessna 150,
Maule M-760 Amphibian,
Sikorsky S-39,
McDonnell-Douglas MD500E helicopter,
Piper Tri-pacer,
Pilatus PC-12,
Enjoy!
