AerMacchi C.205 VELTRO (Greyhound)

File Description: The Macchi C.205 (also known as MC.205,"MC" standing for "Macchi Castoldi") Veltro (Italian:Greyhound) was an Italian World War II fighter aircraft built by the Aeronautica Macchi. The C.205 was a development of the earlier C.202 Folgore. With a top speed of some 400 mph and equipped with a pair of 20 mm cannon as well as 12.7 mm Breda machine guns, the Macchi C.205 Veltro was highly respected by Allied and Luftwaffe pilots alike. Regarded as the best Italian aircraft of World War II, in action it proved to be extremely effective, destroying a large number of Allied bombers and capable of successfully clashing on equal terms with such renowned fighters as the North American P-51D Mustang, but, although the C.205 was able to match the best Allied opponents in speed and manoeuvrability, it was introduced late in the conflict. Moreover, due to the poor Italian industrial capability of the time, only a small production run was delivered before the end of the war. Italy's highest scoring ace, Adriano Visconti, achieved 11 of his 26 credited victories in the few weeks he was able to fly the Veltro, with the top scoring 205 Sergente Maggiore pilota Luigi Gorrini shooting down 14 enemy aircraft plus six damaged with the C.205. Civilian P51D powered by Packard Merlin V-1650-7: For personal use. External model updates, Photo real textures, full working VC with 3d modeled gauges, special Effects and unique sounds.



New to this version:
-textured all small parts visible in VC for better FSX compat;
-Night textures now stay reflective at night;
-new gauge, needle mappings and parts so night lighting much improved;
-fixed the corruption in VC parts due to 4mm weld in makemdl;
-supercharger gauge added, updated airfile and aircraft.cfg;
-switching the Pilots hat off now switch's to leather flying cap;
-added a supercharger high blower setting light and a supercharger switch to VC, please note the switch is inop as the sueperchargers in normal operation was set to auto, supercharger will switch to highblower at 17700+ feet;
-added more polys to rudder and prop boss, tailwheel now turns, prop pitch on still blades has much more pitch when moved with pitch lever;
-sundry texture fixes and hole filling.

SAAF P51d Mustang

File Description:
SOUTH AFRICAN AIRFORCE P51D MUSTANG FOR FS2004 The aircraft features full moving parts, a virtual cockpit and panel with all gauges in xml format. To reduce download size, an alias sound is used. The aircraft is part of a series of aircraft used by the South African Airforce during the Korean war. Aircraft No 330 is depicted in the colours of the South African Airforce Flying Cheetas No 2 Squadron. The aircraft was allocated to Lt Mickey Rorke. He was killed on 15 May 1951 when his plain crashed after takeof. Please see the text files for instructions on the panel and special effects.
