File Description: Ireland VFR Small Airports Landclass Files Update.
This scenery update is a set of landclass files for my following airports
EIKN Knock, EISG Sligo, EICM Galway, Connemara and Aran Islands and Ireland VFR Small Airports part 1. The files have been designed for users of the airports with FSX default scenery and hopefully should remove any errant FSX trees from the runway. The scenery has been tested with default scenery only and does not apply to users of photographic scenery.
Simply drop each file into your appropriate Airport scenery folder.
Please enjoy.

File Description: EIWF Waterford Airport, Ireland. Waterford Airport is a small regional airport located in the South East of Ireland. The runway is 4,701 feet in length (1,433m) so is only capable of handling GA and small jets. In 2008, Passenger numbers peaked at 144,000 and 29,811 movements were recorded. Aer Arann currently operates a twice daily service to London Southend, 4 flights a week to Luton Airport, services to Manchester and Birmingham, with a seasonal service to Galway and Lorient.
The scenery was designed to be used with vfr photographic scenery but will also work with the default terrain. It includes sound effects, local landmarks, autogen trees and buildings, full night textures, custom buildings with photo textures, custom vehicles, people, aircrew, some animations, vegetation, and the nearby business park. Please enjoy.

File Description: Ireland EICM Galway Airport. Galway airport is a small regional airport situated on the West coast of Ireland. The runway is 1289m(4230ft) in length and is therefore only suitable for GA and small jets. This scenery also includes EICA Connemara and the three airstrips of the Aran Islands, EIIM Inishmore, EIMN Inishmaan, and EIIR Inisheer. EICA Connemara plays host to the shortest scheduled airline service in the world, operated by Aer Arann, and appropriately using BN2 Islanders. In June of 1919, Alcock and Brown crashlanded their converted Vickers Vimy in a Connemara bog, having successfully completed the first non-stop transatlantic flight.
All the terminals and buildings are custom made and static aircraft add a sense of realism. The BGL files have been subdivided so the user can switch various elements of the scenery on or off according to preference. For added realism I have also added some sound effects, animations, people, grass, and rocks. Each airport has a complete set of night textures with wash lighting in the carparks and terminal areas.
The scenery has been primarily designed for VFR photographic scenery using 10m mesh, but will also work with the default terrain, although there are some variations with the default 38m mesh at Inishmore. All the five airports use objects from my Ireland Static object library, 3d aircrew and VFR trees. Full installation instructions are given in the Readme file. I hope you enjoy the scenery as much as I enjoyed making it.

File Description: This package includes repainted textures of Henry Tomkiewicz Britten-Norman BN-2A/B Islander, Flight plans for Aer Arann Islands and AFCAD for EIIM (Inis m³r missing from FS2004). Aer Arann Islands run a service between Galway Airport and the three Arann Islands Inis Meain, Inis Oirr and Inis M³r. They use two Britten Norman Islander on this service EI-AYN and EI-BCE. I have made a simple AFCAD from Inis m³r for this scenery as the airport was missed in both FS2002 and FS2004 it is not fully accurate but is just a rough representation, so the AI has somwhere to go, but the location and radio frequnecy are accurate.

File Description: This flightplan requires the freeware Autopilot/EFIS/Flight Planner software, FSPilot, available here at Avsim (fspilot_142.zip). Place your helicopter at Shannon (EINN), load and run the flight plan. The flight will take you to the west coast of Ireland, landing at Inisheer, Inishmaan, two of the Aran Islands then on to Carnmore (Galway) before returning to Shannon. Using Jordan Moore's Bell 412 the trip took approximately one hour to complete.

File Description: In the 1970's Aer Arann began flying as an island-hopping service from Galway to the Aran Islands. Then in 1994 Aer Arann was purchased by Padraig O'Ceidigh who transformed the airline into the popular regional airline it is now. Currently serving 17 destinations both within Ireland and the UK, using their fleet of modern ATR-42-300 and ATR-72-200 aircraft, Aer Arann plan to expand from March next year and will be adding flights to Lorient in France. These flightplans are valid until 25th March 2006.

File Description: 90% accurate scheduled flightplans for the winter 2005-2006 period, which have been compiled according to the company website, and cross-cheked with Amadeus database.
Strangely AerArann publishes more flights than it can physically fly with their current fleet; therefore I can't pretend this time that this file is fully accurate due to the fact that I had to add one more aircraft in order to place all the flights published.
For this I used the ATR-72 that they eventually leased to Aurigny (G-BWDA), but which had been returned since...
AerArann flies to the following destinations:
Belfast-City, Birmingham, Bristol, Cork, Donegal, Dublin, Edinburgh, Galway, Isle of Man, Kerry, Liverpool, London-Luton, Manchester, Prestwick, Sligo, Southampton, and Waterford.
Schedule files fully compatible with Traffic Tools by Lee Swordy (available here). Enjoy...
