KILE, Killeen Texas airport ZipDive!  Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This package covers KILE, Killeen Texas airport. It is a city owned public use airport located 3 miles east of Killeen Texas. It has one runway that is 5,495 x 100 feet. Almost 100 custom objects are included in this package. They include: All hangers and buildings on the airport grounds made from on site photos. Several buildings surrounding the airport grounds. All taxiway and runway signs. All taxiway, runway and approach lighting. ILS antenna, localizer, etc. Fuel tanks and parking T's. Night lighting where appropriate. Currently I am using the default land class instead of photo real because I couldn't find any photo real that suited my needs. I welcome your feedback good or bad. Currently this airport is only for P3D. I may create an FSX version if I have enough requests. I started learning to make 3d objects and airports last year and I am learning something new every day. I hope you enjoy! I plan on improving the night lighting for the runway lights, runway end lights, taxiway lights, etc. to make them more visible from a distance at night. I also want to replace the stock P3D vehicles with my own design and a few other things to come in an updated version down the road.

Instructions:

There are 3 folders in this package; effects, scenery and texture. Create a subfolder under the C:\Program Files (x86)\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v3\Scenery folder and call this new folder KILE. Place the scenery and texture folders (with their associated contents) under this newly created KILE subfolder. Place only the contents (not the folder) of the effects folder in the P3D effects folder often located at C:\Program Files (x86)\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v3\Effects. Now start up P3D. On the menu at the top of the P3D screen click on World > Scenery Library > Add Area. This will bring up the Add Scenery Area dialog box. Click the Browse button and browse to find the newly created KILE folder. It should be located at C:\Program Files (x86)\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v3\Scenery. Once you select the KILE folder, click the OK button. This will place that folder in the P3D scenery library. You will notice that the library is organized by priority starting at 1. I have my KILE scenery set as #4 priority but I am not sure if it needs to be that high. I did notice during design that sometimes my ground texture at the airport would act strange and I found that by setting KILE to a higher priority, it fixed that. As a last step make sure the checkbox to enable the scenery is checked and click OK. You should now have the new KILE scenery available to use.

X-Camera 2.2.1 ZipDive!  Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
The X-Camera 2.1.1 plugin for X-Plane 9 and 10 is a replacement camera system that lets you define multiple view categories and multiple views within those categories that are associated with specific aircraft. X-Camera is similar to EzDok for FSX only for X-Plane. Watch this short X-Camera demo on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PgOxG8ejq9A

Each view can have options:
- TrackIR:
Each view can enable or disable the TrackIR input. If the view is out the cockpit window having TrackIR enabled is desirable. However, if the view is a close-up of an instrument panel then having TrackIR disabled is probably the better choice since the view will be stable making it easy to click on cockpit controls with the mouse. We also support LinuxTrack on Linux and Mac systems.

- HeadShake:
If the HeadShake plugin from SimCoders is installed then the view can accept input from HeadShake. Similar to the TrackIR feature you will likely want this enabled for certain views but disabled for views on instrument panel close-ups where a stable camera makes it easier to use a mouse to control cockpit knobs and switches. The HeadShake plugin must be at version 1.3 or higher for the integration to work.

- Scenic Flyer:
If the Scenic Flyer plugin from Digital Avionics is installed then the view can choose to display either the Scenic Flyer Glass panel or GA panel.

- Smooth Transition:
When this option is enabled the camera with smoothly transition from one view to another over approximately half a second. When the option is off the view will transition immediately.

- Views can be controlled in a number of ways:
> Each view can be positioned by using keyboard keys or a control panel
> The camera'™s X, Y, Z, Heading, and Pitch can all be adjusted for each view
> Views can be assigned to a HotKey or JoyStick button for easy selection
> HotKey or JoyStick button can be used to navigate to next or previous views
> The views for a specific aircraft can be saved to a CSV file for easy editing

- Walk Mode:
Any view'™s camera can be placed in Walk Mode. While in this mode the camera can be walked or floated around using keyboard input. If you ever played the video game asteroid that is what walk mode is like. The mode is particularly useful for pre-flight inspections of your aircraft. You can create a external view and after selecting that view you can "Walk" the camera around checking out your landing gear, props, etc.

- Linear Transitions and Auto Advance:
Linear transitions allows you to define a transition between two adjacent cameras in category. This capability, in conjunction with the auto advance feature, allows you define fairly sophisticated animations that can be used for automated Pre-flight inspections, scenery viewing, and cool transitions affects that can be used when creating flight videos. All the transitions in our YouTube video were done with X-Camera.

- Bezier Curve Transitions:
Bezier curve transitions allows you to define a transition between three or more adjacent cameras in a category. This capability, in conjunction with the auto advance feature, allows you define fairly sophisticated animations that have an ultra smooth movement between the curve control points.

- Many Unique Camera Attributes:
Tracking Cameras - Camera Leveling - Smooth Camera Joining - Auto Advance to the Next Camera - Individual Zoom and Field of View Setting - External Cameras - Free Cameras - Target Following Cameras - Cineflex Cameras - Automatically Generate Unique Orbit and Fly-By Animations

X-Camera can create unique orbit and fly-by camera sequences by providing a few key parameters
- Airport Cameras:
You can define a set of free cameras associated with an airport. You can create up to 2,000 cameras per airport. X-Camera can also automatically populate airport cameras by reading the airport scenery files and creating cameras at runways, starting locations, taxiway signs, and airport viewpoints. You can map a joystick button to quickly switch between your aircraft camera set and the nearest camera at the nearest airport.

- Target Following Cameras:
Targets are locations defined by a latitude, longitude, and elevation in meters. Target following cameras are a special type of external camera that is attached to your plane and it has the ability to track a selected target. You can also view the target reciprocal which as a view from the target back to you plane.

X-Camera Tutorial Videos: There is also a four part series of tutorial videos that will help you get started with X-Camera. You can access them from the X-Camera Tutorial Page: https://www.stickandrudderstudios.com/x-camera-tutorial-videos/
The full manual is included in the zip file you can also view it here: https://www.stickandrudderstudios.com/downloads/User_Guide.pdf

Pichlingersee - LOW1 ZipDive!  Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
The Pichlingersee (LOW1) is a quarry pond near Linz (LOWL) in Austria (Upperaustria). The ILS approach to the runway 27 cross this lake. The helipad is in possession of Water Rescue Department and was not build on land. It was build "in water". For the implementation of this area about 500 objects were set by hand from myself. Including not only trees and shrubs, but also signs, park benches, emergency call boxes (gernerated in gmax) etc at there right place. At night it was dark in real, so I does not create night texture. The scenery has 1.5 km ground imagery at 20cm per pixel and vary (hope) with the seasons.

KCLT Charlotte Douglas International Airport ZipDive!  Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
In 2008 runway 18R/36L at KCLT was renamed 18C/36C in anticipation of a third parallel under construction. The new runway was to be designated 18R/36L and was finally activated on January 6, 2010. This scenery adds that new runway to the default Charlotte Douglas International Airport (KCLT). This is a complete rebuild of my previous upload, KCLT2010 (not required) that inadvertently removed approximately 30 airports in the Charlotte area, including Fayetteville and Spartanburg. It also includes Terminal E, which was added in 2002, but never made it into the default FS2004 scenery. I used Airport Design Editor (ADE9x) to modify the default FS2004 KCLT file, renaming the default 18R/36L to 18C/36C, create the new taxiways, taxi signs, NavAids, 18R-36L runway, and Terminal E. I used Abacus EZ-Scenery to add jetways, gate markings, and ramp lights. All files, libraries, and textures are either default or included. No additional downloads are required. AI Aircraft were acting normally on my system. I sat at Taxiway W2 for the new Runway 18R/36L and watched AI Aircraft land and take off from it after creating this scenery.

ATC Voices - Airline Call Signs set 24 ZipDive!  Download

File Description:
A collection of 13 new or corrected airline callsigns, for use with Flight Simulator 2004 or 2002. Installation requires the EditVoicepack software (see http://bevelstone.xs4all.nl/FlightSimulator/EditVoicepack) by Lars Mllebjerg which is also available free download from the usual Flight Simulator download sites such as Avsim. The callsigns included here represent a range of airlines around the world for which flightplans and/or aircraft are available. They are: ADRIA: Adria Airways (Slovenia) - improved, AIRES: AIRES - Aerovias de Integracion Regional (Colombia) - improved, CARZAM: Phoebus Apollo (Zambia), CREOLE: Halcyon Air Cabo Verde (Cape Verde Islands), CUTE: Island Aviation (Maldives), EASTERN SKYJETS: Eastern Sky Jets (UAE), E-WING East Wing (Kazakhstan), FLYING OLIVE: Aerodynamics Malaga (Spain), FLYLINK: Flylink Express (Spain), STARSAWAY: Stars Away Aviation (South Africa), TAT: Tat European Airlines (France) - improved, TRANS MALDIVIAN: Trans Maldivian Airways (Maldives), and VIP TAXI: VIP Air (Slovakia). All of these callsigns have been cross-checked with reliable sources - I do not create non-existent callsigns for badly compiled AI packages for it is obviously more sensible to correct the mistakes in those packages. If you are familiar with EditVoicePack to do not need to read the readme.txt file very carefully, in block capitals or indeed at all, just import these files like you usually do.
