Chennai airport for fs9/Fs2004

Hi everyone This is my first project, and it took 6 months to complete. This is a freeware airport, but I have tried to put in as much detail as I possibly can. I made this airport because FS9 did not have very many good-quality payware or freeware airports, so I decided to make an airport for my home country. Some general info for the airport is below: Chennai International Airport (MAA), located in Meenambakkam, is the primary airport serving Chennai, Tamil Nadu, and the southern part of India. It has two terminals: Terminal 1 for domestic flights and Terminal 2 for international flights. The airport is known for its modern infrastructure and facilities, including shopping areas, lounges, dining options, and passenger services. It is an important hub for domestic and international travel, especially for travelers heading to South Asia, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East. The airport also has strong connectivity via road and metro. Features of the scenery: 1)Has the latest terminal and airport layout since I used the latest data 2)added buildings to the surroundings (Custom 3d model made from scratch even the terminals) 3)has partial photoreal scenery(will talk about issues in bugs area) 4)has good jetbridges 5)3d volumetric grass in certain parts(will talk about issues in bugs area) 6)taxiways designed as in real life 7)Includes parked cars, lights, nearby buildings 8)Added lots of ground equipment 9)Trees around the airport 10)airport perimeter walls 11)Used Lh simulations library for some buildings and volumetric grass Known bugs: 1)photoreal scenery has some issues since I can't get my photoreal scenery maker to work properly 2)Papi lights are kinda bugged 3)3d volumetric grass is limited to some parts due to fps loss How to install: 1)Download file 2)Extract from rar using WinRaR or other program 3)paste vomm in the addon scenery of your flight sim installation directory and add scenery in settings once you open fs9 4)Includes better default textures for aprons and taxiways (optional!!!!!) 5)enjoy!! Reminder: This airport does not have custom taxiways or aprons the default textures modified by me are the ones used in the picture. If you decide to replace your default files with mine all your airports globally(default) will have these textures for taxiways and aprons. Tested to run on low-end devices with minimal lag will run well on better devices Hope you enjoy this completely freeware scenery and always read the above instructions to avoid unnecessary scenery limitation discussions. Chubu Centrair International Airport (RJGG), Japan - v2.0

File Description:
Chubu Centrair International Airport (IATA: NGO, ICAO: RJGG) is an airport on an artificial island in Ise Bay, 22 miles south of Nagoya in central Japan. Chubu is Japan's third off-shore airport, after Nagasaki Airport and Kansai International Airport, and is also the second airport built in Japan on a man-made island.

In this update are added:
-The name adjacent to the runway
-Railway bridge, and traffic signs on bridge
-More realistic control tower
-vehicles, lightpoles and trees

My apologies to all who downloaded the original pack, dated May 3rd! I don't know how that happened but the zip didn't include the textures themselves. So here's the full pack and its original description: All new set of trees' textures for FS2004. About the textures: Reduced tree size and added more of them. PABR - Barrow - Alaska, USA

File Description:
The town of Barrow is in the far north of Alaska, and is best known in flying circles as the place where Wiley Post crashed his floatplane on takeoff and killed himself and Will Rogers. The crash was some 15 miles south of Barrow and was "assisted" by the mismatched fuselage, wings, and floats that had been assembled to create the floatplane. The Barrow population is largely Inupiat and totals some 4,400. The downtown area of Barrow is immediately north of the airport. The second and largest part of Barrow is further north past a string of lagoons and is locally called Browerville. To the northeast along the coast is the smallest part around what used to be the Naval Arctic Research Lab, and is now a college. To the east of this are the DEW buildings, plus two large navy hangars and the gravel runway that was used to serve the DEW station. The PABR runway is aligned 06-24 in FS9 and is 7,100 feet long and 150 feet wide, built on top of a gravel base and surround that copes with the underlying permafrost. There is PAPI at both ends and an ILS and approach lights on 06; 06 circuits are to the right. The airport notes include a warning that the apron is not a standard width and that large planes that are enroute to the far end of the runway will not be able to taxi past a plane parked at the gate and should use the runway as a taxiway, then turn and takeoff. FS9 AI cannot cope with that, so the apron here is wider. There are, in real life and the AI, daily flights by Air Alaska (three at least) and Era (several, and which is now called Ravn, hence the new hangar door motif) and air cargo flights by Northern Air Cargo and Everts, plus GA. The buildings have been made with photographic textures or textures made from reference photos. I decided that while 500+ scenery objects was probably ok for most people the required 900+ to "make" the town of Barrow would likely not be. The auto-generated FS9 town objects could not be left as Barrow with trees would not look at all like reality; I have "faded" the density of the town buildings into the distance from the airport.

3D Effect , Low Resolution Default Trees

File Description:
Great set of default trees 256x256 low resolution DXT3 very frame rate friendly. they have a slightly sharper 3D effect, default colours have not been tweaked so they are still blend in as before, they have greatly increase my frame rates and look better, in my opinion.

This is a beautiful rendition of Fairmont Airport in Fairmont WV. Any GA or bush pilot can appreciate this beautiful airport hidden in the mountains of West Virginia.It features the AC Express Flight School Hanger bay and adjacent hangers. File Description: Hogan's Corner 5WA8 is a private airport located near Ocean Shores in Washington. The airport has grass, bushes and small trees all over the pavement, and hangars looks old and dirty. The scenery includes custom vegetation, ground poly, photorealistic groundcover and 3d buildings.

6B8 - Caledonia County Airport - Lyndonville, VT

File Description:
Here is an improved version of the stock Caledonia County Airport. I was asked to add a static airplane or two to this airport, but when I got there, it was so nice and so scenic that I went crazy and replaced a couple of buildings, replaced the fuel depot, added a parking lot with cars, static planes, lightpoles and telephone poles along the road and a few hemlock trees. Caledonia County is in northwest Vermont, a pretty place to fly in any season.

7N1 - Cortland/Painted Post Airport - Painted Post, NY

File Description:
Here is an improved version of the stock Painted Post Airport. It was a grass strip in FSX but has been paved in real life with paved taxiways. I completely revamped the airport, moving the runway, adding taxiways, runway markings and lights. I added buildings, an apron with GA parking, static planes and vehicles. I removed some trees from both ends of the runway.

7N1 - Costa's Corning Painted Post - New York

7N1 Corning-Painted Post Airport (FAA LID: 7N1) is a public use airport in Steuben County, New York, United States.[1] It is located two nautical miles (4 km) northwest of the central business district of Corning.[1] The airport is owned by the Town of Erwin[1] and located near Painted Post, New York. It is included in the National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems for 2011-2015, which categorized it as a general aviation facility. The stock FSX airport was a generic type. I updated most everything to 2014 Google Earth standards. I use generic buildings and resize reshape to suit. All objects are stock.I put in most of the parking spaces, gas trigger, the neighborhood houses and some trees to round it out. Hope you enjoy.
