Pratt & Whitney R-2800 Sounds for the Convair CV-240 Series

File Description:
These are sounds for the Pratt & Whitney R-2800 Double Wasp engines as installed in the Convair CV-240 series, which achieve a new level of realism rarely seen before. Each of the two engines has separate directional sounds, and almost all sounds are in high quality and fully stereophonic. I engineered the stereo sounds with professional editing software with minimal phasing and minimal distortion or whatever it took to make it more attractive to searchers of sound. The Convair sounds have a distinctive "whine", unique to the Convair engine installations.

Each of the four engines has separate directional sounds, and almost all sounds are in high quality and fully stereophonic. I engineered the stereo sounds with professional editing software with minimal phasing and minimal distortion or what ever it took to make it more attractive to searchers of sound. Shutdown sounds & RPM engine sounds by Gary Jones, used with permission. Version 2 features improved startup sounds.
