This is my second update to FSX's ATC Phraseology which I believe makes the default ATC system, sound a little more realistic (We'll call this Volume II) For convenience I have included my first update which included Changes to Clearance Delivery, and winds on landing clearance (Volume I) with instructions to install both, along with instructions making some existing ICAO mods in EditVoicePack usable with the it's FAA set. File Description:
This is a repaint of one of the 2 aircraft used in the film "The High and The Mighty" (John Wayne and Robert Stack - 1954). This aircraft actually flew in this paint around Los Angeles and the bay area of southern California in November of 1953 for in-flight footage, so it's entirely fictional...but the airline was.
The original repaint was by Dave McQueen for Jens B. Kristensen's DC-4/C-54 version 2.0. I have updated it to make it compatable with the Jens' new version 2.1 (DC4_v21.zip) to use the DC-4-1009 airfile. Load your plane with 3050 gallons of fuel and balance out passengers and cargo to total 73,000 lbs. and you can duplicate flight #420 in the film! If you wish to shut down engine #1 and dump 200 gallons of fuel from the left wing and see if you can still get to San Fransico from Honolulu, that's up to you..but it is a challenge. | Thomas Hudner AFB |

File Description:
Thomas Hudner AFB is a fictitious Air Force Base located at Henderson Island, a member of the Pitcairn Islands in the Pacific. Located in a sheltered bay on the east side of the island, the airport features a 7500' x 120' paved runway, several hangars, barracks, and a fire dept. This airport also features a Delta V rocket and launch pad, a container ship being unloaded offshore by hovercrafts, and a small military ship. The default FSX scenery at this island has been completely replaced with custom scenery and terrain based on satellite photos.
This scenery requires the FSX Acceleration expansion pack for all of the objects to show up properly. Also, for some reason, Ground Environment X causes the sand textures to show up as rain forest. This is purely a visual quirk and the airport will still work, but it is up to you. This airport is not designed for FS2004, but you may try it at your own risk. Special thanks to Ashton Lawson for his invaluable help on this project.
