File Description: The Almond Valley Viaduct consists of over 40 stone built arches carrying the Edinburgh-Glasgow Queen Street railway line between Ratho Station and Broxburn. There are actually two sections to this monster. The main sweep consists of at least 35 identical arches (I haven't actually confirmed the number!) which is over farm-land. This is followed by a natural embankment then a final 7 arches, the centre of which is wider than the rest as it crosses the A89 2.5Km West of the the end of RWY 24 at Edinburgh.

File Description: Byron Bay was a DEW line station on the south coast of Victoria Island, 105 miles east of Lady Franklin Point. It closed in 1993. The buildings are still there, slowly accumulating the patina so admired by collectors on Antiques Roadshow. The runway is just over 4,500 feet and aligned 58T-238T. At the mid point between Lady Franklin Point and Byron Bay there is a North Warning Site on the highpoint of Edinburgh Island, just south of the closed Ross Point station on the "mainland" Victoria Island. The runway is just over 1,400 feet and is also up on the top of the island. There is a steep road down 600 feet to the coast for the annual fuel resupply and maintenance.

Edinburgh Island, FOX-2, Horton River, Igloolik, & Kimmirut, adapted for the FSGenesis 76m North Canada Terrain Mesh
|
|
Images related to this file:
File Description: These are replacement bgl's to convert five northern Canada fields for use with the FSGenesis 76m terrain mesh for northern Canada. The five are Edinburgh Island CWEI, the FOX-2 DEW line station, Horton River CWHR, Igloolik CYGT, and Kimmirut CYLC. These are not stand-alone, and the presumption is that you have already downloaded and installed the previously posted sceneries. This installation consists solely of replacing the existing scenery bgl's with the new. There will be further posts of northern airfields in groups of five, alphabetically, and observations regarding the amendments and any further corrections that are required would be welcomed.

File Description: The main feature of this update is the adding of the new control tower. This 57m high structure now dominates the main terminal area. Also added is a more detailed local roads system. Some other minor bugs have also been corrected. A previous update EGPHUP1.zip has been incorporated in this update. This previous update added the recently extended taxiways, a comprehensive set of taxiway signs, animated wigwags and many other small improvements to the scenery. The file Edin2004.zip requires to be installed prior to installation of this update.

File Description: This helps to fix the problems encountered when using Scotflight Scenery and Ultimate Terrain Europe.
Building textures are missing and there are issues with coastlines.
This file deals primarily with the River Forth and Edinburgh area (my region) but if you encounter
similar oddities in another region, apply the same principle to the fix.
