File Description: This is a repaint for the payware A2A Simulations AT-6 Texan. This repaint depicts the restored Canadian Car & Foundry built Harvard Mk.IV CCF4-237, named the "The Purple Fox", registered as N7519U, owned by Dave Schmitz and based in Spooner, WI. This aircraft originally served in the RCAF as #20446, from 1952 till 1965. After being sold surplus, the aircraft was parked in a Minnesota field for over 20 years before being purchased by Dave Schmitz in 1988. Following a 6.5-year restoration, the aircraft flew again in 1994, and has since logged nearly 1300 flight hours over the past 22 years, including many hours spent flying with the T-6 Thunder formation group.
