Canadair CL-215 sound.cfg V.3

File Description:
This sound.cfg replaces the one uploaded in August 2008. Both the interior and exterior sounds have been improved. Please replace the sound.cfg you already downloaded by this new one. In my search for a good sound for the Canadair CL-215 amphibious fire tanker, I struck on the fabulous soundpack for the beautiful Douglas A-26 Invader of Milton Shupe and the Sim-Outhouse Team, made by David C. Copley. Most of the wav-files in this soundpack are recordings of the Pratt & Whitney Double Wasp R-2800 engines of an A-26 Invader. Having studied the Invaders sound pack, I discovered that by ‘tweaking’ the sound.cfg, particularly with regard to the exterior sounds, it became possible to develop a good exterior CL-215 sound (2 engines). No changes were made to the wav-files, as I didn’t want to modify them; the wav-files just sound wonderful. In order to make your system reproduce the CL-215 sound, first download from www.sim-outhouse.com the great Douglas A-26 Invader package and enjoy flying that plane. Then copy the sound pack of the A-26 to the CL-215, and replace the existing sound.cfg by the revised one you just downloaded. You can also use this sound for the Martin 4-0-4. This CL-215 sound has been tested in FS2004 only. Special thanks to David C. Copley who gave his permission to upload the modified sound.cfg as freeware, with limited distribution, at Sim-Outhouse.com and Avsim.com. Many thanks also to Milton Shupe. Douglas DC-6 sound.cfg V.3

RAF "Lightning PR Mk IV"

File Description:
This is a repaint for David C. Copley's F-5 Photo Lightning (p38p220.zip) in a fictional Royal Air Force scheme. In real life the RAF never operated Lightnings aside from test subjects, so this repaint is purely hypothetical. Original aircraft by Davi Copley. Repaint by Dan Middleton.

P-38 Pair: P-38J-15 & F-5E-2 ver. 2.2

File Description:
This package includes two workhorses of the war: the P-38J Lightning and its close cousin, the F-5 Photo Lightning. Five textures are included for the J (D-Day, Marge, Porky II, California Cutie and YIPPEE). The F-5 is Queenie, which saw action in the ETO with the 33rd PRS. Full-featured FSDS2 models. Complete package, including authentic P-38 sounds recorded by the author. Includes some gauges by Mike Wagner and Chuck Dome. Ver 2.2 includes all-new VC, two new textures by Dan Swart, flight model improvements and other enhancements.

Lockheed P-38L Racer

File Description:
P-38L Racer. Surplus P-38Ls and F-5's (Photo Lightnings) were popular racers right after the war. No two were alike after their pilots and crews let their imaginations and engineering skills run wild. This package represents two kinds: a generic P-38L racer and, without a doubt, the most famous P-38 Racer of all time: Lefty Gardner's White Lightnin'. Requires the author's P-38L ver. 2.2 (p38tdl22.zip).

Lockheed XP-38

File Description:
Lockheed's first fighter, the prototype P-38 was destroyed only a few weeks after its first flight. No in-flight photographs of this historic aircraft exist, so this model was designed specifically to imagine how it may have looked in flight. Full-featured FSDS2 model, with reflective metal textures, dynamic VC, animated parts (control surfaces, Fowler flaps, landing gear, gear suspension, rolling wheels, cooling vents, canopy, landing light, yoke, etc.) Complete package, including authentic P-38 sounds recorded by author. Ver. 1.3: updated for FS2004.
