Mercury Level 8 Hi-Res Texture

File Description:
This is a Level 8 hi-resolution surface texture for the planet Mercury. Thanks goes to John Van Vliet of Celestia for the 8192x4096 surface map of Mercury used to make this texture. John's website info can be found in the enclosed readme file. John's map uses data from the far side of the moon to fill in the gaps in the original Mariner 10 imagery as only about 48% of the surface was mapped. I used PSP to give the map a slightly coppery color. Overall a very aesthetically appealing texture. A full-color MFD map is also included. Enjoy.
